MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Katrina Baur, the mother charged in connection with the death of her 3-year-old son, Elijah Vue, had a court hearing on Friday.
Court records show that Baur, 32, had a status conference on the morning of September 26 after it got pushed back from a hearing in June.
Back in October 2024, Baur pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include Chronic Neglect of a Child (Consequence is Death), a Felony B, and Neglecting a Child, a Felony I.
Jesse Vang has status conference in Elijah Vue case, scheduling conference set
During Friday’s hearing, another status conference was set for November 20 at 9 a.m.
Elijah Vue’s remains were found in Two Rivers a year ago, in September, after months of searching since he had been reported missing in February 2024.
Baur’s boyfriend, Jesse Vang, who reported Elijah missing, also pleaded not guilty to charges of Physical Abuse of a Child – Repeated Acts Causing Death, Hiding a Corpse, and Chronic Neglect of a Child.
Vang also had a status conference on Friday morning; his next court appearance is scheduled for January 8, 2026, at 9 a.m.
