ARLINGTON, Texas (WFRV) – Packers fans arrived in bunches to Dallas ahead of the Green and Gold’s highly anticipated Sunday night matchup against the Cowboys.
Fans broke out in “Go Pack Go” chants all evening, with team alumni Marco Rivera and Bubba Franks in attendance to meet and greet the traveling hordes of Cheeseheads.
Green Bay Nation: Packers collapse in Cleveland, look to rebound in Dallas
“The Green Bay Packers have a very faithful fan base, no matter where you go, the fans are going to come out, and here in Dallas, it’s no different,” Rivera said. “You go anywhere in the country, they are gonna show out — that’s Packer Nation.”
Bubba Franks calls Dallas home, where he sees Green and Gold all around.
“I love these little pep rallies, I mean, this is a chance for us older players to come back and get to meet the fans,” Franks said. “This is an experience we don’t get to be a part of; we are in and out, not behind the scenes, like tomorrow I am gonna be out tailgating.”
This is the first of three Packers Everywhere Rallies where fans can interact and meet fellow members of the Green and Gold faithful, sometimes even from neighboring cities.
“It’s awesome, we have met people from California and next-door neighbors in Pewaukee.” Tim Ohm of Franklin said. “We have met some people from all around the country already.”
The big storyline is Micah Parsons’ return to Dallas, where he spent his first four seasons in the NFL, and many fans are anticipating a good game from Green Bay’s newest superstar.
“I’m wishing for five sacks, but I will take anything. I hope he has a great game,” Wisconsin native Bruce Danna said. “I know he wants to do well; just wishing the best for him.”
The next “Packers Everywhere Rally” will take place on October 18 in Arizona, ahead of the Packers game against the Cardinals.
