OAK GROVE, Wis. (WFRV) – The 22-year-old Wisconsin man who was airlifted for life-threatening injuries after a serious motorcycle crash on September 27 has been identified by name.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office said that Karter Schwartz of Beaver Dam was the driver, and he is still hospitalized from the crash, which occurred around 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The initial release stated that Schwartz was riding a 2025 Kawasaki motorcycle while wearing a helmet, traveling at rapid speeds, before he lost control of the vehicle.
The motorcycle subsequently went through a ditch and airborne after hitting a culvert, causing Schwartz to be ejected from the vehicle and into a tree.
Schwartz was also arrested for suspected impairment, and is still in the hospital.
