(WFRV) – A popular zoo in southern Wisconsin says its future could be in danger amidst a lawsuit over conditional use permits.
The Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary posted on its Facebook page to give an update on a recent post they did about how they claimed they were being attacked. Shalom Wildlife said they were named as a defendant in a lawsuit.
The post says the lawsuit is seeking a court order that would invalidate their conditional use permit. Their permit was reportedly granted back in 1995.

Shalom Wildlife says it planned to expand operations to hold special events and this lawsuit threatens their ability to do that.
They claim the plaintiffs want the court to order that Shalom has been violating laws and ordinances for ‘decades’.
Shalom announced they have filed a counterclaim and complaint.
