The search for Francesco continued on Wednesday, as the Wisconsin Dells Police Department reported that search crews covered about 17.5 miles of the river.
The searches covered south from the Rivers Edge launch to the I-39 bridge near Portage, with countless devices deployed, including sonar boats, aerial drones and a diver to help.
Foot searches on islands were conducted; however, the water levels continued to drop, which gave extra access to underwater searches.
Anybody who may see Francesco or something suspicious is urged to contact law enforcement immediately. Local 5 will continue to provide updates to the search as more details arise.
