Longtime member of Blue Man Group and Oshkosh North alum honored in ceremony

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – David Anania has been performing for years with and for countless well known people across the globe, and on Thursday, the Oshkosh North alum was honored at his alma mater.

Anania has been a drummer, singer/songwriter, producer and a Blue Man Group member that has seen it all. He’s gone global, performing with the late David Bowie and even at the Royal Variety Performance for Queen Elizabeth II.

But, before that stardom, including his 2018 debut solo album Reinvent the Feel, he was an Oshkosh North High School student, and the legendary alum returned for a ceremony at the school’s Field House.

Anania also visited a pair of music classes following the assembly and ceremony, speaking with students in A Capella Choir, Treble Choir and the Spartan Band.
