Stronger storms enter overnight

The latest Northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Low pressure has started to build in which brought increased clouds cover for this afternoon.

This system has a warm front attached to it, and as it lifted, it brought a bit of a breeze out of the south helping us warm back up into the 60s! This also brought some states in the Central US temps close to 90 degrees! Warm air like this brings the energy and strength needed for strong storms to develop. For us, the best chance for stronger storms will be areas to the southwest tonight, moving to the southeast early Friday morning.

This will be an overnight event, so the main impacts Thursday night through Friday morning would very gusty winds and some large hail. Expect thunder and lightning as well.

By daybreak Friday, the severe threat should exit, but rain with a few isolated thunderstorms will linger throughout the rest of the day Friday.

Our next rain and thunderstorm chance moves back in Sunday afternoon.
