GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park in Green Bay has welcomed a new addition to its animal family.
Anga, a 3-year-old African lioness, arrived Friday from Zoo Knoxville. According to zoo staff, she currently has access to both the outdoor yard and the lion building. Guests visiting the zoo this weekend might catch a glimpse of her if she chooses to be outside.

Anga and Loid, the zoo’s resident male lion, are currently separated as they get to know each other through a protective barrier. While Anga adjusts to her new home, the lion yard may occasionally be empty.
Zoo officials say they’ll follow Anga’s lead to determine the right time for a formal introduction between her and Loid.
