SUAMICO, Wis. (WFRV) – With Easter Sunday just around the corner, families flocked to the NEW Zoo for the annual EggStravaganZoo.
This beloved annual event has become a staple for many in the community as it unites families and friends for a day filled with fun, laughter, and festive activities.
Excitement filled the air as families like the Fryjoff family joined in on the celebrations.
Curtis Fryjoff shared, “My brother was planning on taking his family here, so we kind of tagged along. He got to meet the Easter Bunny today and snag some candy for his little bucket too!”
For six-month-old Bennett, it was his first visit to the zoo, and his parents couldn’t help but notice his beaming smile as he took in the sights.
Kristen Fryjoff remarked, “It’s fun to watch him observe the world and see all the animals… He got pretty excited for the goats!”
As families wandered through the decorated paths, they encountered a variety of activities designed to engage visitors of all ages.
Children eagerly participated in the egg hunt, searching high and low for colorful eggs filled with surprises, while others enjoyed crafts and games set up throughout the zoo.
New Zoo Director Carmen Murach emphasized the variety of experiences available, stating, “It’s great fun to have some of these events and give people a little more than the usual. We’ve always got the animals, but these events offer extra excitement: treat stations scattered throughout the zoo, a find-the-slither-hoppers activity, games, crafts, and so much more!”
The zoo also featured educational presentations, highlighting the importance of wildlife conservation, allowing families to learn while having fun.
