GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – In celebration of Earth Day’s 55th anniversary and its ongoing mission to promote sustainability, Goodwill North Central Wisconsin (NCW) has officially opened the doors to its newly relocated Howard Donation Center.
Located conveniently on Velp Avenue, the new donation center offers an accessible drop-off point for the Howard and Green Bay communities. The grand opening was commemorated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted in partnership with the Green Bay Chamber.

The relocation enhances Goodwill NCW’s mission to make sustainable living easier for residents by simplifying the process of donating gently used items. “Sustainability is fundamental to our business model,” said Chris Hess, President and CEO of Goodwill NCW. “We’re excited to bring this more convenient location to our donors and help further reduce landfill waste.”
Goodwill NCW plays a vital role in supporting a circular economy by extending the lifecycle of household goods. On average, the organization diverts more than 35 million pounds of items from landfills annually, enough to fill approximately 875 semi-truck trailers.
The Howard Donation Center is now open for donations during regular hours, providing a convenient, impactful way for local residents to give back to both their community and the environment.
