GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Not only is it almost Mother’s Day, it’s also currently National Nurses Week, and over a dozen registered nurses in Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) St. Vincent Hospital’s Women and Infants Center in Green Bay are expecting.
HSHS St. Vincent Hospital said in a ‘heartwarming’ announcement that 14 registered nurses on the baby expert team are expecting, expressing excitement.
The release said that the nurses already dedicate their life’s work to helping mothers welcome new life into the world, and now they’re each getting a chance to welcome some of their own.
In the release, Amy Bardon, the Director of HSHS St. Vincent Hospital’s Women and Infants Center, expressed compassion and excitement for the staff, citing their own skills and calming presence when helping deliver.
“This is an incredible full-circle moment for many of our nurses, some of whom are about to become first-time moms themselves,” Bardon said in the release. “Each of these women is already a baby expert in their own right, but for many of them, their firsthand experience offering care to an infant, and moms for that matter, is about to further deepen.”

Each nurse will get the same care they’ve provided for many expecting mothers in their time, the release added.
