GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Police Department launched an investigation on Friday after a woman’s body was recovered from the Fox River near Bay Beach Road.
GBPD officers say that around 12 p.m. on May 9, officers were called to the area at the mouth of the Fox River for a body that was found in the water near the 100 block of Bay Beach Road.
Officers say the woman’s body was recovered shortly after.

It was noted that the circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined, but officers noted that there is no believed danger to the public.
The Green Bay Metro Fire Department assisted GBPD at the scene.
