GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Green Bay say three people are without a home after a fire on the west side of the city caused an estimated $20,000 worth of damage Tuesday evening.
According to a release from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department, crews responded at 5:11 p.m. to reports of an apartment fire on the 500 block of South Fisk Street.
Upon arrival, crews saw smoke showing from the two-story apartment home. The apartment was quickly evacuated before firefighters entered the building and found the affected apartment and the main hallway filled with smoke.

Crews made an aggressive attack to extinguish a fire found in the kitchen area of the apartment that had also extended into the ceiling in other concealed spaces.
The fire was declared under control at 5:26 p.m. No one was hurt during the incident, however, three people are now left without a home.
In total, 22 firefighters, four fire engines, and one ladder truck were called to the scene to put out the fire that resulted in $20,000 worth of damage.
