POYNETTE, Wis. (WFRV) – A Wisconsin-based manufacturing company is planning to close one of its facilities, resulting in the layoff of 28 employees.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, McDonald Plastic Molding, Inc. will be shutting down its Poynette facility by December 31, 2025.

The company says the closure is due to a consolidation of operations at its Darlington location. Affected employees have been invited to apply for positions at McDonald’s other facilities in Cuba City, Darlington, and Monroe.

Layoffs are expected to take place between June 27 and the end of the year. The impacted employees are not unionized, and bumping rights will not apply.
