DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – A De Pere bakery and culinary classroom is continuing to educate children even while school is out of session; however, it’s not mathematics and history.
The Flour Pot, located at 307 Reid Street in De Pere, is hosting baking classes throughout the summer, with Wednesday’s lesson focused on a classic favorite.

The lesson on the menu taught the kids how to make pretzels from scratch, including how to prepare and knead the dough, and how to roll and form the savory treats.
“You don’t have to have prior experience; most of the people we have just love to cook and bake, it’s a lot of fun,” owner Gina Guth said. “I always wanted to be a teacher, and this helps me fulfill that dream.”
