The Latest from Storm Team 5…
A weak boundary to our west has popped up some scattered showers and storms this afternoon. Low end chance for widespread severe weather, but a few storms could be on the stronger side with a wind, hail and downpour threat.
So tonight, expect partly cloudy skies with a chance of a passing shower or storm. Lows in the upper 50s and low to mid 60s.
Tomorrow, expect a chance for morning showers and some embedded t-storms, otherwise a mix of sun & clouds. Highs will build into the upper 70s and low 80s. Dew points will climb once again into the lower to mid 60s.
We are continuing to monitor the potential for some strong to possibly severe storms Friday night into early Saturday morning along a warm front. There is still some model uncertainty so this is something that needs to be monitored in tomorrows forecast.
Saturday and Sunday, the warmest air of the year moves in. Highs will surge into the low to mid 90s, with dew points in the mid 70s. Heat Index values will likely hit the 90s and low triple digits. Have a way to stay cool and keep hydrated.
Monday will be mostly sunny with evening and night thunderstorms. Highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. Rain and storm chances continue through Wednesday, however we will see cooler temperatures return to the forecast.
