(WFRV) – The Seymour baseball program fell short in the DII State Championship game on Thursday afternoon, but the Thunder capped off their historic season with its first trophy.
In a back-and-forth affair with top-seed New Berlin Eisenhower at Fox Cities Stadium, Seymour dug themselves out of a four-run hole with a four-run fourth inning. In the end, the Lions walked it off in the bottom of the 7th inning to defeat the Thunder 5-4 in the DII State Championship game.
Seymour’s historic season comes to end with silver going into the trophy case.
