The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
The rain has ended as of this morning, now we are looking at sunshine building in across Wisconsin. Temperatures will get into the upper 70s and low 80s for the second half of Friday.
Additional storms may fire late Friday night. There is a chance for severe weather in the window between midnight and early Saturday morning, with more downpours, hail and damaging winds. Location wise, this will be generally north of Highway 29 up to the Wisconsin-UP border.
GET READY TO SWEAT: The warmest air of the year will arriving Saturday into Monday with a mini-heat wave in Wisconsin and much of the county. Highs are expected to reach the low to middle 90s, but when you combine that with tropical humidity, we will have the heat index – or “feel-like” temperature reach around 100 degrees or higher in the afternoon. Please remember to drink water, take frequent breaks in the air conditioning, and wear sunscreen in the sunshine! Another good reminder is to check up on elderly family members or neighbors who may not have access to air conditioning at home.
A HEAT ADVISORY will be in effect from noon Saturday until 7pm Monday evening with heat index values from 95 to 105 degrees.
