SENECA, Wis. (WFRV) – One boy was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle rollover crash in Shawano County on Thursday evening.
Deputies with the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office say that dispatch got a 911 call around 6:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, reporting a rollover crash on CTH D near CTH J in the Town of Seneca.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they found a car rolled over in the ditch. One passenger, only described as a juvenile male from the Seymour area, was found unresponsive. Despite life-saving efforts, the juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say that based on an initial investigation, the car was traveling northbound on CTH D when it lost control and entered the ditch. It was noted that speed was believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
The driver of the car, a man from the Seymour area, and another juvenile passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. Both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Bowler Fire Department, Shawano Ambulance, Tigerton Ambulance, Wittenberg Ambulance, Shawano County Highway Department, Shawano County Coroner’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and Krause Towing Service.
The crash remains under investigation. No additional details were provided.
