KAUKAUNA, Wis. (WFRV) – Construction is officially underway on the I-41/County J interchange ramp in Kaukauna, and the ramp is expected to remain closed for most of the summer.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), the work began Monday as part of the larger I-41 expansion project, which aims to reconstruct and widen 23 miles of I-41 from four lanes to six between State Highway 96 in Appleton and County F in De Pere.
While an exact reopening date has not been announced, WisDOT estimates the ramp will reopen in late summer.
