AUBURN, Wis. (WFRV) – An 18-year-old Fond du Lac County man is dead after a serious motorcycle crash Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received multiple calls reporting a crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck at the intersection of County Highway V and Auburn-Ashford Drive in the town of Auburn.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a motorcycle traveling south on CTH V struck a pickup truck that was heading east from the stop sign on Auburn-Ashford Drive.
The motorcycle and its operator continued into the southeast ditch, while the pickup truck came to rest on Auburn-Ashford Drive just east of CTH V.
Emergency responders arrived to find the motorcyclist unresponsive and not breathing. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities identified the motorcyclist as an 18-year-old man from Campbellsport. The pickup truck’s driver was identified as a 32-year-old Campbellsport man.

The sheriff’s office says speed appears to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
CTH V remained closed for about four hours during the investigation and cleanup. No additional information was immediately available.
