GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Darlene Marcelle, who served as Brown County Clerk for over 12 years and remained a prominent conservative voice in local politics for decades, passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 25th, according to a Facebook post.
She was elected county clerk in 1996 and decided not to run for another term in 2012.

Marcelle was just weeks away from her 79th birthday on July 7th and was preparing to celebrate 60 years of marriage with her husband, Dennis.
She is survived by her husband and family members.
According to the Facebook post, funeral arrangements are currently being made.
