KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – A 69-year-old man died on Friday evening after going off-road on the highway and striking a rock and a tree.
According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were sent with the Salem Lakes Fire and Rescue to a crash report in the 22400 block of State Highway 50 on the south side of the road.
A full-sized pickup truck was reportedly traveling eastbound on the road when the accident occurred, as the vehicle left the roadway. According to the incident report, the pickup truck hit a large rock and then a tree, suffering serious damage.
The sole occupant, identified as the 69-year-old male driver, was fully ejected from the seat and pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is underway.
