PEWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – A 17-year-old was pronounced dead in southeast Wisconsin after they had jumped into Pewaukee Lake and did not survive.
Just after midnight on Sunday, June 29, officers with the Pewaukee Police Department say they got a 911 call from a person reporting that their friend had jumped into Pewaukee Lake and did not come back up.
First responders arrived at the lakefront fishing pier in the 200 block of West Wisconsin Avenue shortly after.

The Dive Team reportedly found a 17-year-old victim in roughly 8 feet of water, and despite life-saving measures, the teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and officers noted in their release that alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
