The latest from Storm Team 5…
Today starts mostly clear, and we expect that to hold throughout most of the day. Temperatures are expected to stretch into the lower 80s, but dew points remain more comfortable, only reaching the lower 60s. With this, we do not expect the heat index to rise too far beyond the air temperatures. Nighttime temperatures drop into the mid-60s.
Friday morning as independence day begins we have partly cloudy skies with humid conditions. Dewpoints are expected to remain in the lower 70s throughout most of the day and temperatures will reach nearly 90 degrees. As we head into the afternoon some isolated showers may be possible, but that likelihood continues to decrease. We will not expect any precipitation to be heavy/severe. Nighttime temperatures only drop into the mid 70s.
Through the weekend, we see partly cloudy skies both days with showers and possible thunderstorms. Temperatures will reach the low 90s on Saturday with high humidity and the low 80s on Sunday with humidity becoming more comfortable.
As your work week begins, temperatures go into the mid to upper 70s, and while we see mostly sunny skies, we do start to have some slight chances of thunderstorms in the evening hours on Tuesday and Wednesday.
We will continue to monitor the chances of rain for your holiday weekend.
