MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – The Bucks are bringing back a key role player from 2024-25, the team announced on Tuesday morning.
According to a release, Gary Trent Jr. is back with the Bucks after a solid first-year in Milwaukee, where he put up the second-best three-point percentage of his career (41.6%) and highest since 2019-20.

Trent Jr. played 74 games in 2024-25, scoring about 11.1 points while recording 2.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in roughly 25.6 minutes per game. He also set the team record for most threes off the bench, with 163.
He was the team’s leading bench scorer, and in games where he didn’t start, he shot 43.7% from deep, finishing top-5 in the category.

In five postseason games, he shot 51.6% from the field and averaged 18.8 points per game, finishing second on the team behind Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The deal, according to Spotrac, is worth $7.5 million over the next two years.
