The latest from Storm Team 5…
We see some storms make their way into the area as we start the weekend. Friday and Saturday have showers and thunderstorms likely with temperatures in the low 80s and increasing humidity. Sunday changes though as skies become sunny with no rain expected. Temperatures still hold in the low 80s, and humidity reaches oppressive levels.
Monday holds mostly sunny to start your work week with temperatures reaching the upper 80s and that hot air will continue through to Tuesday where we see a low chance of evening showers. Temperatures drop into the low 80s on Wednesday with likely showers and thunderstorms. Thursday will see that cooling trend continue with temperatures dropping to the mid 70s and a low chance of showers.
With hot days ahead and high humidity heat indexes can rise and make it feel hotter than the actual air temperature. It is important to remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks when working outdoors. Remember to stay cool and check on those who may not have AC units.
