SUPERIOR, Wis. (WFRV) – A company that provides agronomy and energy products and services to farmers is closing one of its Wisconsin facilities later this year.
According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, CHS, Inc. will permanently shut down operations at its Superior Terminal located at 41 Dock St.

The closure will result in 23 employees being laid off on or about Sept. 8, 2025, with the facility officially ceasing operations on Aug. 31. An additional two employees are expected to be laid off around Dec. 31 as part of wind-down operations.
CHS noted that although the closure does not meet the threshold required under Wisconsin’s Business Closing and Mass Layoff Law, notice is being given in line with guidance that encourages transparency in such situations.
