FOND DU LAC. (WFRV) – It’s not every day that you get to play baseball for the team you grew up watching, but for these four lucky players, that dream is a reality.
Colton Angell (Oshkosh), Jalen Gellings (Fond du Lac), Brennen Grams (Kaukauna) and Parker Knoll (Appleton) grew up in the Greater Green Bay area and now play for the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders.

“It’s a surreal feeling playing for the Dock Spiders,” Gellings said. “It was kind of like a dream when I signed that contract.”
Gellings, originally from Fond du Lac, is No. 6 on the team in runs with 18 hits in 27 games played for the Dock Spiders.
Douglas Coe, in his third season as the Dock Spiders field manager, said it’s fun watching his team mesh, given that some of them have played youth, or even college baseball, together.
“These guys can play with anybody, you know, I expect them to play the game at their capabilities, that’s why we signed them, that’s why we want them to be a part of our program,” Coe said
