SPARTA, Wis. (WFRV) – A 69-year-old Wisconsin woman was seriously injured after crashing into a light pole and the local City Hall building following a medical emergency.
According to the Sparta Police Department, officers responded to a crash with injuries on July 12 at the intersection of South Court and West Oak Streets.
The investigation revealed that 69-year-old Pamela Leis of Sparta suffered from a medical event, causing her vehicle to leave the road and hit a light post and City Hall. She was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital before being airlifted to a different one.
Two other occupants, identified as minors, were injured; however, they did not require medical transport as the injuries were deemed to be minor.
