WINNECONNE, Wis. (WFRV) – Swimming at Lake Winneconne Park is closed, with health officials warning of a potential serious risk of illness due to elevated levels of E. coli.
Health officials with the Winnebago County Public Health stated on July 15 that the waters of Lake Winneconne Park are closed due to elevated levels of E. coli.
It was noted that it is the only water quality closure in Winnebago County currently.
Wisconsin State Patrol: Avoid lingering in “no zones”
“This location will be tested again this week, and the results will be posted once received. For up-to-date information about beach closures and advisories across the state, visit the Wisconsin DNR website,” Winnebago County Public Health stated in a Facebook post.
Lake Winneconne Park is located at 498 Parkway Drive.
