OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – EAA is getting ready to leave the runway, with the festivities set to begin Monday, bringing visitors and aviation enthusiasts to the Fox Valley, turning Whittman Regional Airport into the busiest airport in the country.
EAA has everything to see and do, from the long-time flyers to the first-time visitors, looking to see what the Airshow has in store.
“If you are excited about aircraft, and the proffesional nature and the intestity and perfection that is required to be a pilot, then this is the place to be,” says Rhode Island native Christopher Yaladis, “There is so much to do, to see, to experience, to learn about, there is nothing better, there is no better place in the world to be if this is what you love.”

Yaladis has been to EAA for five years, but this year is different. He flew his own plane, one he helped paint. After serving in the Air Force for over 20 years, he came to Oshkosh and discovered his passion for aviation, and when painting his aircraft, added his family’s constellations all around the plane, adding a deeper meaning to his passion of aviation.
“I get so much joy from the paint scheme and why it means so much to me, I love that other people want to see it too,” says Yaladis, “That’s why I came to Oshkosh this year with the plane, to really show it off so other people can enjoy it too.”
Many people will be coming to Oshkosh for the first time, being able to see what a week long at EAA really consists of.
“I’ve always had an interest in aviation my whole life, and it has always been a goal of mine to come out here, and just never made it happen until this year,” says John Jensen from Richmond, Virgina, “And I was able to bring my son with me, and I think it is going to be a really good experience, and excited for the week.”

Having a week to see all the different aircraft, shows, demonstrations, and all the people who love to go to EAA every summer.
“There is so much information available to people who are interested in aviation and home building, and it’s just a little bit overwhelming to see how much there is to see and learn, and it just makes you want to come back next year,” says Jensen.
EAA Airventure 2025 kicks off Monday, July 21st, and goes until July 27th at Whittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh.
