MIDDLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in southern Wisconsin are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who was reportedly seen pointing an object shaped like a firearm.
According to the Middleton Police Department, officers responded Monday afternoon to the area of North High Point Road near Westchester Drive after receiving a report of someone pointing what appeared to be a gun.
Witnesses said the object may have been a toy or water gun, though it resembled a real firearm.

Police say the individual may have been dropped off by a dark-colored Toyota RAV4 or a similar SUV, which was last seen heading south on High Point Road. Officers were unable to find the person or the vehicle.
