FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities have issued a temporary felony warrant for a 22-year-old Wisconsin man who is reportedly the suspect in a shots fired incident at a Fond du Lac apartment complex.
Officers with the Fond du Lac Police Department say they were called to a disturbance at an apartment complex near South Marr Street and East Division Street around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 26.

Officers encountered several people upon arrival and learned that one person had been taken to a local hospital after reportedly being stabbed. It was also learned that a gun had been shot inside an apartment.
While checking over the complex, officers learned that a gun had been “recklessly fired” from one apartment, with rounds entering two adjacent units.
No other injuries were reported, however.

Through a thorough investigation, FDLPD identified a person of interest related to the shooting of the gun, identifying him as 22-year-old Tyler D. Niederbaumer of Elm Grove.

A temporary felony warrant for Niederbaumer has been issued for recklessly endangering safety with use of a dangerous weapon.
“This kind of reckless and dangerous behavior has no place in our community. Recklessly firing a gun is not only criminal, but also a life-threatening act that could have ended in tragedy,” said Chief Aaron Goldstein. “FDLPD is fully committed to using every available resource to find those responsible and hold them fully accountable. The safety of our community will always be our highest priority.”
