GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Area Public School District (GBAPSD) is celebrating after Superintendent Vicki Bayer earned a pair of honors from a local publication.
Insight Publications, an Appleton-based publisher dedicated to businesses, celebrated its 2025 Women of Influence honorees on Tuesday, with Superintendent Bayer among the recipients, while she also received the Education Advocate Award.

Superintendent Bayer was nominated for the award for her ‘leadership through difficult times,’ which she navigated through with resilience and innovation.
“Stepping into the role during periods of significant change, Vicki has demonstrated unwavering commitment and strategic vision,” Superintendent Bayer’s nomination read.

The long-time educator joined the GBAPSD in 2013 as an associate principal for Lombardi Middle School, rising to the role of interim superintendent before being officially named to the permanent role in December 2024.
