WINNEBAGO COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials in Winnebago County have closed down two beaches until further notice due to high levels of E. coli bacteria.
The Winnebago County Public Health Department announced the closure on Facebook, stating that the following two locations are closed following testing:
- Lake Butte des Mortes Boat Landing
- Winneconne Park
The release states that E. Coli bacteria levels are above 1,000 most probable number/100 milliliters, citing that serious illness risks are present.
