PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WFRV) – The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the man who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on State Highway 23 on August 1.
According to the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, the victim has been identified as Stephen A. Gould from Elkhart Lake.
The crash happened around 3:45 p.m. on August 1 on State Highway 23 at Pleasant View Road in Plymouth, where multiple people were injured after a driver reportedly failed to yield to oncoming traffic.
A preliminary investigation indicated that an eastbound vehicle driven by a 45-year-old Sheboygan man was struck by a westbound vehicle attempting to turn south.
The westbound vehicle, driven by an 82-year-old woman and occupied by Gould, crashed into the 45-year-old’s vehicle, causing injuries to all three.
The 45-year-old man sustained minor injuries; however, the 82-year-old woman sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries. Gould would later die at a local hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
