WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WFRV) – One person is dead after being ejected from their vehicle during a crash late Sunday night, authorities say.
According to a release from the Wisconsin Dells Police Department, officers responded at 10:56 p.m. to reports of a single-vehicle crash in the area of State Highway 23 and Broadway Road.
Police say a passerby saw the vehicle and someone lying in the road and called 9-1-1 before attempting to render aid.

An investigation reportedly showed that the vehicle was heading east on State Highway 23 when the driver failed to negotiate a turn near the intersection with Broadway Road, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and roll over.
The driver of the vehicle appeared to have been ejected from the vehicle during the crash and died as a result of their injuries. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
No other information is available at this time, and the name of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of the family.
