KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) — A 78-year-old man from Wheatland is dead after his pickup truck collided with a train Sunday morning in southeast Wisconsin.
According to authorities, the crash happened around 10:45 a.m. on August 3, 2025, in the 3300 block of County Highway W, just south of County Highway JB, along the Canadian National Railway tracks.
Officials say the train was traveling southbound when it struck a full-sized pickup truck that was crossing the tracks from a private farm access road. The access road has a stop sign but is not required to have gates, bells, or flashing lights.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, identified as Leonard A. Lois, 78, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner’s Office.
