GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Country Club welcomed young golfers on Monday for a Par 3 Tournament designed to introduce kids to the game.
More than 20 children, ages 4 to 14, took to the club’s short course practice area to compete and learn the fundamentals of golf in a fun and supportive environment.

Club officials say the event is a great way to grow the game and get the youngest players engaged early.
“I just always rode along in the cart with my dad and he could never stop me, and I just grew to love the game of golf,” said 11-year-old Hallie Fisch. “I like that it challenges me, the mental side is good, and I like always going out and practicing and having fun with my friends.”
The tournament ran until 8 p.m. Monday evening.
