GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Hundreds of sweet, frothy treats were served up in Green Bay on August 6, 2025, as A&W celebrated National Root Beer Float Day.
From 2 to 8 p.m., A&W locations across Green Bay handed out free root beer floats to customers. Guests could also purchase a limited-edition 2025 Collector’s Mug for $10, with a portion of proceeds benefiting Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

Adding to the celebration was A&W’s beloved mascot, Rooty the Root Bear, who greeted guests and brought smiles to fans of all ages.
The event is part of A&W’s ongoing tradition of honoring veterans, with donations to DAV continuing beyond the annual celebration.
