The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…
Great news! After more than a week of thick wildfire smoke, our air quality is much better this morning and will continue to improve with south winds pushing the smoke back up to the north.
Out goes the smoke, but in comes the tropical humidity again on Thursday with highs in the middle 80s away from the lake. That will feel more like 90 degrees with how thick the humidity will be. There is a small chance of a shower or thundershower during the day.
Better rain chances after sunset tonight with hit or miss thunderstorms. It will be a warm and humid night with a low of 68 degrees.
Tomorrow, isolated thunderstorms are possible, mainly in the morning. After that, it will be mostly sunny, hot, and very humid with highs around 87 degrees. The heat index will surge well into the 90s as the muggy air makes it feel much warmer than the air temperature.
Saturday, scattered thunderstorms are likely, but it won’t rain all day. Computer models are hinting at the first wave of thunderstorms in the afternoon, and more could emerge at night. Details on the timing will get clearer as we get closer. Muggy and 87 degrees for the high.
Sunday, more scattered thunderstorms with a high of 82 degrees.
