GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – It’s finally here, the Green Bay Packers 2025 campaign kicks off on Saturday with the first preseason game, a matchup at Lambeau against the Jets. Chief Davis stopped by the studio for a community update with reminders for the upcoming season.
Chief Chris Davis of the Green Bay Police Department came by to talk about reminders for fans and the surrounding community during home Packers games.
The first topic discussed was the changes made by the Packers when getting into Lambeau Field.

“The Packers have updated the screening process to get into the games this year,” began Chief Davis. “We have everyone come through a metal detector, so if it is at all possible, make sure to remember to take anything metal out of your pockets or you’ll have to go through a secondary screening.
Chief Davis reminded fans to check the Packers website for guidelines.
“Any bags you bring will need to be clear,” continued Chief Davis. “If they’re not clear, then they can be no bigger than 4 and a half to 6 and a half inches.”
The next topic touched on was concerns fans may have while inside the stadium, and who they should call.
“There is a number that gets shown on the big screen during every game that you can text fan conduct issues to, or if you see something suspicious,” Chief Davis added.

Regarding traffic, Chief Davis asks that you plan ahead, don’t drink and drive, and watch out for pedestrians.
Unrelated to the Packers upcoming season, Chief Davis also talked about a recent rise in auto thefts, and what is not being done that should be done related to prevention.
“If I could just get people to do one thing, it would be to not leave your car running with the keys in it. Lock your car and take the keys with you anytime you get out of the car,” responded Chief Davis.
