OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – Following a shooting Saturday afternoon in Oshkosh, police say they have since arrested a 17-year-old suspect for his alleged involvement in the incident.
According to a release from the Oshkosh Police Department, officers first responded around 1:50 p.m. on Saturday to reports of gunshots near the area of Central Street and West Irving Avenue.
Police determined the shooting to have taken place on the 600 block of Franklin Street and found a 20-year-old man with an apparent gunshot wound after canvassing the area. The victim was then taken and treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Initially, a suspect was not found and was considered still at large. Officers say they arrested a 17-year-old male on Sunday in the 1200 block of West 12th Avenue. The suspect was taken to the Winnebago County Jail, where he is being held on First Degree Attempted Homicide and multiple other charges.
