NEOPIT, Wis. (WFRV) – A 32-year-old man now faces up to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of Assault with Intent to Murder and Burglary stemming from a domestic incident on the Menominee Indian Reservation.
According to a release from the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of Wisconsin, 32-year-old Neegee J. Cloud broke into a home in Neopit on the afternoon of September 20, 2024, and attacked his girlfriend, violently beating her unconscious on a bedroom floor.

Cloud reportedly returned to the bedroom multiple times over a 20-minute period of time where he proceeded to punch, kick, and stomp on the victim’s head before, at one point, slamming the victim’s face into the floor.
Evidence shown during the federal jury trial included video from an in-home camera system that captured Cloud’s forced entry as well as portions of his attack on the victim. The homeowner, who was said to be alerted by the camera system, claimed to have witnessed some of the attack and made contact with the Menominee Tribal Police Department.
Cloud was arrested outside the home, with the victim being taken to a trauma center in Wausau, where she remained in intensive care for nearly two weeks and was hospitalized for almost a month.
