GENOA, Wis. (WFRV) – Deputies in Wisconsin expressed displeasure after construction waste was found illegally dumped alongside a road on Monday morning.
The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office shared images of the items left along Podawitz Road near the Bad Axe River in Genoa, giving a harsh warning to whoever allegedly left the waste.
The post, made at 8:51 a.m. on Monday, stated that whoever had illegally dumped the waste should quickly return to the scene and clean it up before deputies arrived.
“We will post photos once the deputy arrives at the scene,” the post warned.

State law allows penalties for illegal dumping/disposal to be imposed in increments, depending on the severity and total number of prior violations.
