GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay and Ashwaubenon K9 Teams gathered at Joannes Stadium on Wednesday evening for the annual Unleashed event, but this one was bittersweet.
Unleashed is a public and family-friendly event that supports the two K9 teams, featuring live demonstrations of how police and their four-legged partners help serve the community.
However, it was also the final appearance at the event for K9 Roco and K9 Pyro, as they head off into the sunset, retiring after helping officers in their duties.
The event was filled with two hours of demonstrations, as attendees had the opportunity to meet and greet with local officers and their K9s, building community relationships and showcasing the work of four-legged police officers.
