WAUTOMA, Wis. (WFRV) – Two adults in Wautoma were arrested and charged this week for multiple alleged sex crimes against children, with one who allegedly had incest with their stepchild.
According to a release from the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Nicole Prutzman and 46-year-old James Prutzman were arrested on August 11 and formally charged on Wednesday.

Court records revealed that James faces the following five charges:
- Repeated sexual assault of the same child (at least three violations of 1st-degree sexual assault)
- 2nd-degree sexual assault of the same child
- Incest with child by stepparent
- Incest with child by stepparent
- Incest with child by stepparent
His cash bond was set at $50,000.

Nicole Prutzman, who also has a cash bond of $50,000, was also charged, according to court records, with the following:
- Sexual intercourse with child 16 or older, actor 19 or older
- Incest with child
- Incest with child
- Repeated sexual assault of the same child (at least three violations of first or second degree sexual assault)
Further charges are possible as investigations continue.
