(WFRV) – In a back-and-forth affair, the Green Bay Rockers defeated the Duluth Huskies 10-8 on Thursday evening to capture the 2025 Northwoods League Championship.
The Rockers took the 2-0 lead before trailing 4-2 shortly after. Green Bay would find themselves down 8-4, but battled back to tie it in the 8th inning. They would score two runs in the top of the 9th with two outs to eventually celebrate a title.
It’s Green Bay’s second championship in the last three seasons as the Rockers finish the season with a 46-28 overall record under first year field manager Josh Merrill.
