GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Lambeau Field is all set for frenzied cheeseheads to pack the Frozen Tundra for the upcoming regular season, and the Packers announced dates for their game themes that include the return of the ‘Winter Warning’ and the 1923 Classic.
On Friday, the Green Bay Packers announced the various game themes and activities for each 2025 home game to help further amp up their fanbase.
The first game of the regular season on September 7, a divisional matchup with the Detroit Lions, will celebrate Kickoff Weekend. Featuring a free concert on Saturday with The Black Crowes in the Lambeau Field parking lot.

Kickoff Weekend will also feature the team’s annual celebration of Packers Alumni Weekend, with a special tribute to the 15th anniversary of Super Bowl XLV planned.
Four days later, the Packers will take on the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football for ‘Winter Warning.’ Green Bay will feature their whiteout uniforms and urge fans to “unite and wear white” for a blizzard effect in Lambeau.
Also featured during halftime of the ‘Winter Warning’ game will be a ceremony honoring Pro Football Hall of Famer Sterling Sharpe. Sharpe’s name will be unveiled on the Lambeau Field façade in honor of his recent induction.
On October 12, Green Bay returns home to face the Cincinnati Bengals for their annual Packers Vs. Cancer game, presented by Emplify Health by Bellin. The game will honor cancer survivors and those fighting the disease.

When the Carolina Panthers come to Titletown on November 2, Green Bay will debut their 1923 Classic uniforms with the first-ever ‘leather’ painted helmet in the NFL.
The following week, on Monday Night Football against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay will honor those who have served their country with the Salute to Service game.
Divisional rival Minnesota Vikings come to town on November 23, where the Packers will don the My Cause My Cleats initiative. On December 7, the Bears matchup will highlight the Walter Payton Man of the Year award, when nominees throughout the league will be recognized.
To wrap up the regular season, the Fan Appreciation Game will take place against the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 27 or 28, with extra giveaways aimed at thanking Packers fans for their support throughout the season.
